Get ready to rock, roll, and reminisce as Spindle 45 ignites the stage at the Garage Tavern in Greensboro, NC, on November 18th, and join us as we commemorate the 45th anniversary of the legendary WKRP Turkey Drop! This is a free event.
Spindle 45, with their irresistible blend of classic covers, will take you on a nostalgic trip paying homage to one of the most hilariously infamous moments in television history – the WKRP Turkey Drop.
As the lore goes, a certain Cincinnati radio station’s Thanksgiving promotion went awry back in ’78 when live turkeys were dropped from a helicopter, leading to the unforgettable line, “As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.” While we won’t be dropping any turkeys from the sky, we’ll certainly be dropping some beats and raising spirits at the Garage Tavern. On November 18th, the Garage Tavern won’t just be a venue – it’ll be a time machine, a place of revelry, a nod to a cultural touchstone, and most of all, a rocking good time. Let’s make memories that will last another 45 years!
