Founded in 2018, Spindle 45 performs their versions of pop and rock music covers to welcoming audiences live all around North Carolina and online; all around the world.
For three separate years, 2020, 2021, and 2023, Spindle 45 has won Yes! Weekly’s “Best Cover Band” in their reader’s choice awards.
In 2021, the band also was nominated and won the Winston-Salem Journal reader’s choice “Best Local Band”.

Welcome to the Coalpit! Spindle 45 is kicking off this years 2026 Coalpit Live Series! 2pm on Saturday 30 May!!! Later in the evening, Tan and Sober Gentlemen will take up the stage starting at 7pm.
Coalpit Live is a annual live music series in the heart of Winston-Salem right next to Incendiary Brewing! Just about every two weeks between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Coalpit Live is host to some of the best touring and local bands across a wide variety of music styles. All for free!
